First of these walks was Helvelyn in the Lake district, an ominous start to this new family tradition, it rained, all day, despite being in July
We started from the car park at Thirlmere and headed up the hill, reaching the job in quite breezy conditions, then went on to go down Swirrel Edge, round the tarn, and back up Striding Egde, before heading back down.
All in all, a very good, but very wet walk!
