A few years ago, I started making up stories with my kids, more as a bedtime thing. We started with The Adventures of Sam and Kevin, the story of a boy who meets a very cheeky honeybadger and discovers a doorway to a secret world. This lead to a sequel, Mysterious Times. A third installment is on the way, and a new book about the adventures of Francois the duck is also being written.

I’ve always loved books, they’ve always been that wonderful escape into another world and I’ve really enjoyed the thought process of writing one. Of course it’s much easier to have both Dylan and Sam to bounce ideas off and encourages their imaginations. They’re probably sick of hearing it but you’ll never be bored if you have a good imagination.

I still don’t consider myself an author, it’s very much a hobby but so far, the feedback has been nice (with one child telling me he’d also like to write a book) and hopefully has encouraged a love of reading which has always been my aim. I hope to write more as ideas come to me so I hope you enjoy these.
