Today, Arron and I decided to go to the Blue Mountains.  A quick Google later and we were, out the door, stopping for some Columbian breakfast (which was lovely) then to the car hire place, to pick up a rather robust 4×4.

Drive up to the mountains was great, had the music on and generally having a laugh.  Kept saying, although we were going up, it didn’t look very mountainous.  Stopped initially by a lake and did a quick walk around it, which turned out to be slightly longer than anticipated.  Then went to the next signposted site, Wentworth falls.  Took about 2 hours to get round and had many many steps cut into the rock, but it was stunning.  Reminded me of the grand canyon, and the photos don’t do it justice.  Was frankly breath taking, and it’s a hard sell with being from Yorkshire and accustomed to such scenic beauty on a daily basis!

Drove back in the dark, had a lovely meal at a Vietnamese restaurant, updated this and am shortly heading to bed!  Not sure what is planned for tomorrow, but sure it will be a lot of fun!
